Stephen Colbert fires away at Trump: 'You're a bad president. Please resign.'

The host focused on Trump's recent tweet, a vague threat suggesting he would release tapes of conversations he had with Comey if the former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief began to leak details to the media. Starting off with the bad news, he revealed the recent reports from The Washington Post that Donald Trump revealed highly classified information to top Russian officials last week.

But until then, Stephen Colbert gave his take on the whole classified thing in his monologue and it was pretty amusing. You have to say things like 'the package has been delivered.' 'The squirrel is in the basket.' 'The idiot is in the oval.' It could mean anything!

Trevor Noah at the Daily Show was equally perturbed by Trump sharing info with the Russians and all of its implications: "So the good news is, Trump listens during intel briefings".

"Oh, sir", Colbert said with an impish grin.

SNL Host Melissa McCarthy Plays a Sean Spicer in Crisis Mode
You're really gonna ask me that? "Nothing's going to stop me because I have the Republicans in the palm of my hand". We knew Melissa McCarthy would be bringing back Sean Spicer on last night's new episode of Saturday Night Live.

Spicer's media briefings with the White House press corps have become as noteworthy as Trump's own actions, due to his contentious relationship with reporters and penchant for deflecting tough questions about the president.

"Please don't do your own press conferences", Colbert asked the POTUS.

"I have something to say here". Late show hosts are doing their best to keep it light and make fun of all of this but at some point I hope we can expect a day of complete seriousness from these guys.

"He's firing Sean Spicer ... luckily that time Sean spent in the bushes will come useful when he's working at Home Depot". "First of all, you're a bad president, please resign", he said. "Second, please, please, please don't take Sean Spicer from us! Where else am I going to get my daily dose of veiled anger and condescension?"
