Speaking to IANS, Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said, "Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing and shelling on our positions on the LoC in the Rajouri sector".
"Fresh ceasefire violation was reported at Manjakote and Chingus areas at 0620 hours today morning".
"Around 150 people from border villages migrated to the camps while others will be shifted during night as it is not possible due to heavy shelling", he said.
Two Indian soldiers were killed and their bodies mutilated by Pakistan Army on May 1, when the latter laid an ambush after crossing into the Indian side of the border in Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
A Pakistan Foreign Office official said Pakistan "condemned the unprovoked firing" which allegedly targeted civilian population.
"Four relief camps have been established and 26 others are being identified in case more evacuation is needed".
"Right now the kin of the deceased are being compensated with Rs. one lakh".

Relations between India and Pakistan plummeted after a raid in September on an Indian military base in Uri by Kashmiri fighters killed at least 18 soldiers.
"What Pakistan has been doing is known to everybody".
The same day terrorists opened fire on a patrol party of the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir's Tral.
