A Seattle police officer seriously wounded in a shootout with an armed robber in downtown Seattle last week was released from Harborview Medical Center Wednesday.

Adrianna Butts is charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree assault and is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail, according to prosecutors. She could have faced a harsher punishment, however. Her brother, Damarius, 19, was shot and killed by police after shooting at officers last Thursday, according to charging papers. He continues to recovery from his injuries, say Seattle police.

"She is an accomplice to the robbery", Satterberg said.

Police later recovered a revolver near the area where Damarius Butts died. Three officers were hurt.

Damarious Butts tried to escape police by running into an office building. It wasn't until about 4 p.m. that police announced that his body had been found.

According to an affidavit originally obtained by The Seattle Times, Butts' sister told police she purchased the gun for $550, the Times reports.

The officer who was most seriously injured with gunshot wounds to the face remained in the hospital Tuesday and had requested privacy. The second officer, a female, was listed in satisfactory condition. A third unidentified officer suffered a minor bullet wound to his hand.

The siblings' 19-year-old friend, who allegedly waited outside the 7-Eleven, was later arrested at his Renton home. Information from Seattle Times archives is included in this story.
