Modi expressed his gratitude to the people of Delhi for reposing faith in the BJP and ensuring its resounding victory in the polls.
In all the three municipal corporations, the BJP candidates won by the highest margins.
The BJP won 181 out of 270 wards for which the elections were held last Sunday on April 23.
Minister Hussain turned out to be the saving grace for the AAP with two of three wards in his constituency Ballimaran going to his party with the third won by Congress.
Following the party's dismal performance in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls, the Congress on Thursday admitted that they fought more on individual lines than collectively. The result: a division in AAP's lower strata vote bank and middle class's massive shift to the BJP.
"The BJP today scored a hat-trick in the Delhi civic polls as it comfortably retained control of the three municipal corporations, dealing a severe blow to the AAP and dashing the Congress" hope of a revival.

Stunned by the defeat, the AAP alleged that the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were rigged to help the saffron party win.
"Following wins in the Assembly elections for Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur, this victory has put a seal on Modiji's inclusive governance over the last three years", Shah told reporters.
Mann also slammed the party leadership for "behaving like a "mohalla" (local) cricket team", and said AAP had committed a "historic blunder" in Punjab with regard to the overall electoral strategy. He insisted BJP had worked hard on the EVMs and some of its leaders had even written books on it. Imitating Kejriwal's style of speaking, Mihir Jha went to the social networking site and posted, "MCD election results suggest EVM aur Voter Miley hue hain Ji (the MCD results suggest that the people and the EVMs are working in sync)".
Kejriwal who has been up in arms against the Election Commission as well as the BJP over EVM tampering, however, remained silent on the issue.
Congress, on the other hand, appears to have made good progress on the ground. The BJP's winning streak continues with the party trouncing the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress in the crucial Delhi civic body elections.
The party has regained some of its support base among the Dalit and Muslim voters and in the slum clusters, resettlement colonies and unauthorised colonies. Of these, 16 are in north Delhi, 13 in the south, and six in east Delhi. He stated that while the Congress has seen a "reasonable revival" it could have "performed a little better". The resignation phase started with AAP convenor Dilip Pandey resigning following the election results.
