The Reds boss is gearing-up for a busy few months in the transfer market and he knows a new left-back is required with Alberto Moreno nearly certain to leave after falling out-of-favour this season.
Sessegnon can't ink a professional contract until he turns 17 next month and he already has a pre-agreement with Fulham in place which is due to be signed on July 1st.
That could mean that the Cottagers will be able to command a big fee for the youngster rather than just compensation for his development.
If Liverpool fail in their pursuit of Sessegnon they will make an £8m ($10m) move for Hull City left-back Andy Robertson, according to the Echo.
Ontario reveals a foreign-homebuyer tax, rent control and more
New taxes might slow price growth but there will still be growth. British Columbia brought in a similar tax for Vancouver in 2016. Toronto home prices increased 29 percent from a year earlier.
Sessegnon, who can play at both left-back and on the left wing, has made elite clubs sit up and take notice with his precocious Championship displays this season.
Jurgen Klopp has had him scouted on numerous occasions.
The 16-year-old has scored an incredible 7 goals in his 28 appearances from full-back this season to help Fulham in their promotion push with the Londoners now sitting in the play-off spots with just two games remaining.
At that level, Sessegnon plays left-back while Trent Alenxander-Arnold dominates at right-back, and it's this duo that the club see playing our fullback roles in years to come. Ridiculously talented and precocious, he would be a marvellous signing for any club whose manager is willing to put his faith in youth and hone them on the training pitch.
