According to the Times, one audience member called Feinstein a "sellout" and others joined in chants of "Single-payer now!" "You'll know soon enough".

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) said that she was "not there" on single-payer health care at a town hall on Monday. She turns 84 in June, and is the oldest now serving USA senator.

Feinstein said Monday that she will have another town hall meeting locally this summer on a Saturday, when more residents can attend.

Feinstein's record as a Democratic Senator from California, a post which she has held 1since 1992, is broadly in line with left-wing ideals. On Friday, she'll be back in the Bay Area for a paid-lunch event with Silicon Valley business leaders. It's her first meeting with constituents since President Trump took office.

But the new film had an exceptionally strong performance in the rest of the world, led by China, bringing in $432.3 million. Vin Diesel and Charlize Theron pose at the premiere of the "Fast and Furious 8" movie in Berlin April 4, 2017.

Feinstein took a measured approach throughout the hourlong event at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, but almost every question provoked a strong reaction from the crowd, some carrying signs that read "Retire Feinstein" and "Barbara Lee for Senate 2018", referring to the far-left congresswoman from Oakland. She has hinted that she plans to run for fifth full term next year, but has not officially announced her candidacy.

"This is, potentially, a very volatile time", Feinstein said. After Feinstein gave a lengthy answer describing the threat posed by Kim Jong Un in North Korea and by Bashar al-Assad in Syria, she was met with boos and shouts of "Answer the question!"

"Where single-payer health care is going to mean complete takeover by the government of all health care, I'm not there."

"You're pretty good at yelling", Feinstein said when the crowd didn't like her answer about what she was doing to combat "fascists" like Steve Bannon. "It takes a plan". You've got to work something out. "You can sit here and pound your fists and I can show you what I've gotten done".
