Hug and Schar net Swiss wheelchair double at Boston Marathon

Veteran wheelchair racer Ernst van Dyk finished second at the Boston Marathon on Monday, settling for the runner-up spot for the third year in a row at the prestigious annual 42.2km race in MA.

Hug took a third successive win and men's World Marathon Majors title after sprinting away from van Dyk to finish in a course record 1:18.04.

Marcel Hug edged out Ernst van Dyk at the finish line., setting a new world record.

Manuela Schar made it a Swiss sweep by taking the women's division, shattering the Boston record in a time of 1:28:17. Japan's Hiroyuki Yamamoto finished third in 1:19:32.

Shadow Brokers leak more NSA exploits
The documents released by the Shadow Brokers indicate that the NSA may have accessed the Swift network through service bureaus. The hacks amounted to vulnerabilities in Microsoft software that let intruders take over machines running Windows software.

The old record was 1:18:25, set at the 2012 Boston Marathon, by Joshua Cassidy of Canada.

The top American man in the wheelchair division was Josh George, who crossed in 1:21:47.

By breaking the course record, Hug earned $10,000 to go along with the $20,000 for winning the race and $50,000 for clinching the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wheelchair series.

"It's always a tough start here for me as one of the lighter athletes and I just couldn't do enough to stick with Marcel in the first five kilometres", Fearnley said. "It was a Swiss day".
