The photographer told TMZ that Brown leaped over the couch and socked him in the mouth.

The 27-year-old singer was at nightclub Aja Channelside in the early hours of Monday morning for a paid appearance when he became embroiled in a fight with the venue's in-house photographer Bennie Vines.

"I was trying to get crowd shots". In the video, a man in a yellow sweatshirt and purportedly Brown's bodyguard appears to be confronting the victim, Vines, in an offstage area next to a DJ booth. Brown "sucker punched" him for allegedly taking photos.

Vines, however, "wishes to prosecute for a minor laceration to his lip".

The club released details about the situation on their own Facebook page, writing: "Incidents like the ones caused by Chris Brown and his team are very sad to see". According to TMZ, management claims the hitmaker and his entourage didn't stroll up to the club until around 1:30 a.m.

Chris Brown may be about to find himself in trouble with the law again, as a Florida photoghrapher is threatening to take Chris to court after a brawl in a nightclub. The club released a statement saying in part: "AJA Channelside and our employees apologize for the inconvenience". The partner said the photographer - whose name he did not reveal - was treated on site and that the club pressed assault charges on the spot when police arrived.

An email to the representative listed on Brown's website was not immediately returned.
