Chelsea's domination of the Premier League this season has seen their two leading lights Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante nominated for the PFA Player of the year Award.
Kanté and Hazard have been the standout performers during Chelsea's title challenge this season and have been recognised alongside Alexis Sánchez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane as the best performing players in 2016-17.
No City player has won this award since 1976 when Peter Barnes, also predominantly a left winger, was named the PFA Young Player.
The nominations were decided by a vote by PFA members from Premier League and Football League clubs.
Attorney Of Bill O'Reilly Accuser Demands State Probe Of Fox News
O'Reilly's show was the second most popular show on cable television last week, topped only by USA Network's Monday Night Raw . However, though James Murdoch is reportedly convinced O'Reilly needs to go, not everyone in leadership is on board.
The winners will be revealed at 44th PFA Awards to be held in the Grosvenor House in London on Sunday 23 April 23, 2017.
After a hard season under Jose Mourinho and interim boss Guus Hiddink, Hazard has returned to his sparkling best with Antonio Conte at the helm and recaptured the form which saw him win the same award during Chelsea's last title-winning campaign.
If Lukaku does win both awards he would become just the fourth player to do so since they were founded in 1974 after Gareth Bale in 2013, Cristiano Ronaldo in 2007 and Andy Gray in 1977.
