Borussia Dortmund says defender Marc Bartra was injured when three explosions went off near the team bus and is being treated at a hospital.
Police said the bus was struck shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday by the explosions as it left the hotel en route to the game against AS Monaco.
The chief executive of Borussia Dortmund said Bartra was injured on the arm and hand.
Borussia Dortmund confirmed that the match won't go ahead today and will instead be played on Wednesday at 5:45pm Irish time. Dortmund is in western Germany, in the densely populated Ruhr industrial region.
However, another police spokeswoman, Nina Vogt, said there was no further information yet on what caused the explosions.
Dr. Reinhard Rauball, president of both Dortmund and the DFL League Association, said: "The players will get over this and be able to perform on the pitch".
Experienced Blackhawks lead field of Cup contenders out West
Five-time Stanley Cup champion Edmonton is in the post-season for the first time since 2006, ending a league-high 11-year drought. The Predators were Chicago's first-round postseason opponents before the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup title runs in 2010 and 2015.
The club announced later that the match has been postponed to tomorrow.
"The team is totally shocked, that's clear".
"What kind of explosion it was and where exactly something has detonated is not clear at the moment".
A spokesman at the already crowded stadium informed fans of the cancellation, saying that "there is no reason for panic here at the stadium".
