As previously noted, Bischoff will be dealing directly with the Fox network and he will be the Executive Director of SmackDown Live. Their official titles, according to the report, will be executive director with both reporting directly to WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
Here is Rusev's response to the news.
The weekly shows now air on USA Network, though "SmackDown" is moving to Fox's broadcast channel - and from Tuesdays to Fridays - this October.
In an announcement on WWE.com, the company revealed: "In their executive roles, Heyman and Bischoff will oversee the creative development of WWE's flagship programming and ensure integration across all platforms and lines of business". Eric Bischoff attends SiriusXM's "Busted Open" celebrating 10th Anniversary In New York City on the eve of WrestleMania 35 on 6 April 2019 in New York. For Heyman, it will be his first return to a full-time creative leadership role in the WWE since his controversial departure from WWE-ECW and his first stint running the flagship show, RAW.
Below are Heyman's and Bischoff's WWE bios.
While best known for his on-air persona, Heyman is credited for developing many current and former WWE Superstars as part of its creative team. For 83 weeks - from June 1996 to April 2018 - Bischoff would shepherd WCW's flagship show, Monday Night Nitro and defeat Monday Night RAW in the ratings. He is a must-see attraction as an on-screen performer as the advocate for Brock Lesnar, but Heyman's longest-lasting work happens off-camera with the character development of many on the WWE roster. Instead, they'll be eased into it over time and get them ready for having full creative control.
