To put the numbers in perspective, Fortnite, one of the titans of the battle royale genre, and indeed the gaming world, took two weeks to exceed 10 million downloads. Users select a player character and are dropped into a sandbox environment, where they have to scavenge materials and battle other players to survive. More than 25 million players have now tried Apex Legends, Respawn's Vince Zampella announced in a blog post.

The incredible performance saw the trio kill over 66% of players in the lobby, an incredible feat considering the size of the map, and the unlikeliness that every player in the game lands in a similar area.

Four days ago, Respawn stated that its free to play title had surpassed over 10 million players and had breached 1 million concurrent players. Tfue in particular has been a constant victim of stream snipers, and as he explains in the video, is nearly never able to play a regular game of Fortnite anymore.

Speaking to Game Informer, Layden said: "We got to that place in Fortnite and it seems to be going reasonably well, from what I can tell". As a new Battle Royale, it is pulling in insane numbers on both Twitch and in general.

Shares experienced a delayed reaction since the February 4 launch, which came with little fanfare.

Ariana Grande Clarifies Tweets About Cardi B's 'Best Rap Album' Win
During the 2019 Grammys , the 27-year-old rapper announced plans to release his solo album and a documentary. She was clearly overwhelmed at the win, pausing early in her speech to say, "the nerves are so bad".

Apex Legends will then introduce cross-play for all at a later date but can not afford to miss this opportunity.

Player counts aren't the only signs of Apex Legends' success.

There's always 99 problems to worry about while playing in a battle royale game, but Apex's loot system isn't one.

Later on the call, he also talked a bit more about mobile too: "We are looking at how to take the game to mobile and cross-play over time, and I also expect that this game will have tremendous value in Asia, and we're in conversations about that". But more choice is usually a good thing, especially when Apex Legends is a tad bare at the moment.
