ABC News' "The View" co-hosts cornered former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) on Wednesday and demanded he justify his support for President Donald Trump and "reconcile that within yourself".

'Once you've got this in your blood, it's hard to get rid of...'

According to Colbert, the former federal prosecutor "wanted a cocktail" for the interview - but was served "liberal" tequila made by George Clooney's company instead. Some Christie aides and allies were linked to the closures, seeing it as a way to punish the mayor of Fort Lee for not endorsing Christie's re-election bid that year.

"It's one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes that I prosecuted...and I was the US attorney in New Jersey".

"You've been friends with Trump for 16 years", said Hostin.

Trump allegedly argued, saying that Christie was doing his job: "He was doing what he was supposed to be doing, your father pled guilty".

Clark County measles outbreak grows to 35 cases
The disease is contagious from approximately four days before the characteristic rash appears to four days after the rash appears. "But because the vast majority of us are immune to measles , we tend to not see more than a couple of generations of cases".

Christie said it was a no-win question, saying if he said no and circumstances arose that made him change his mind, they would play the tape of him denying it.

Christie was head of Trump's transition team for the White House, but - in another example of his fraught relationship with the president ― he got dumped shortly after the 2016 election.

Among the factors contributing to his decline were his endorsement of Trump, his presidential run where he tacked right, and the "Bridgegate" scandal that sent two of his top aides to prison.

He added, "It's one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes that I prosecuted when I was US attorney", Christie said during a segment with PBS's "Firing Line With Margaret Hoover". And I think that's one of the reasons they got rid of me, was because they didn't want to have somebody who had been an executive in government, who was an executive in government at that time. Because in my world those are shots fired.

In his memoir, for which Christie is in the mist of a book tour, he recounts how Jared Kushner badmouthed him to Trump in an April 2016 meeting while Christie was in the room. "And the people that fire shots at you today are the people you have to work with tomorrow". If you're convicting murderers, it's one thing.
