Madonna opened the new children hospital in Malawi, the home country to her two kids, David and Mercy.
It was first time for Malawians to hear Mercy James speaking in public since her adoption she did it eloquently in good flair of English with American accent. "Half the [17 million] population of Malawi is children, a majority of whom are below 15 years old, that is why we need to invest more in children".
Madonna and her children helped opened Malawi's first-ever pediatric surgery and intensive care center in the African country on Tuesday, a long labor of love for the charitable singer.
The Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care, located at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in the city of Blantyre, was built in collaboration with Malawi's health ministry. The four children she adopted from Malawi are David Banda, Mercy James, Stelle and Estere.
In an emotional speech given at the opening ceremony for the centre, Madonna said: "There are so many things I never imagined I will do". I never imagined one day I will build this kind of a hospital.

Camp residents made no mention of any Palestinian gunfire in their accounts of the raid in which they said rocks were thrown at the troops.
"I am here to say 'never give up on your dream".
It is the first health unit for children in Malawai and is said to double the capacity for paediatric care at the Queen Elizabeth hospital. It includes three operating rooms for children's surgery, as well as a day clinic and a ward with 45 beds. Madonna - who also has daughter Lourdes, 20 - helped fund the building through her charity Raising Malawi which was founded in 2006, the same year she adopted her son David from the country.
Lovely: She was declared a "daughter of the nation" during the President's speech at the opening, as he told the songstress: 'You started by adopting four Malawian children, now we are adopting you as the daughter of this nation'.
Madonna, 58, took all four of her adopted children back to their homeland for the unveiling.
