For as much as everyone associated with the league argued it was anything but a novelty act, fans didn't pay to watch Iverson's teammate, Andre Owens, finish with 20 points and 15 rebounds; they paid to watch Iverson.

Plenty of legends are participating in the professional 3-on-3 league during the inaugural 10-game season, most notably NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson. "The games are exciting, the players are still talented and they're fun to watch".

For the fans, they get to see matchups that are new, and rivalries that are both new and old. FS1 will broadcast the television spectacle on Monday, June 26 at 8:00 p.m. ET. That should be an interesting experience in its own right because of the tape-delay nature.

Stephen Jackson vs. Al Harrington! It was nearly like these guys were out to prove that. With hand checking allowed, the games looked nothing like today's National Basketball Association game. These old guys were really trying. There will be some gimmicks that separate it from the official global basketball version, such as a 4-point shot and encouragement of trash talking. "There's also a younger fan that competes and plays 3-on-3 out on the blacktop and that will be interested to see our guys play as well". The post game came to play.

Drexler: "I agree with him!" The current teams are set, but Mason said the league is approaching newly retired players and getting interest. "It was 'Zo, Patrick, Oakley, Karl Malone - that, I'll take that any day of the week".

Big 3, a 3-on-3 basketball league featuring retired stars, is the brainchild of rapper and actor Ice Cube. Then he showed up, playing his first competitive basketball in five years, and shot 1-for-6 in limited minutes, totaling two points and two assists.

"I'm just happy that I was fortunate and honored enough to be one of the first guys to participate", Iverson said. The 29-year-old Tebow led the University of Florida to two national championships in football and won the 2007 Heisman Trophy during his stellar career with the Gators. "I did everything feasible to get loose ... my normal routine that I've done for 15 years". I got back to my seat in time to see Fab perform "Breathe", which 100% still bangs in 2017. Power's Cuttino Mobley, on the other hand, said this is all about camaraderie, adding that he'll need "a lot of alkaline water" and "a lot of running" go get ready to play again next week in Charlotte. The league will play in 10 cities this season, including Chicago, Los Angeles and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

But Sunday, the league's most visible player off the court was largely invisible on it.

Germany and France say Britain could change its mind over Brexit
The two leaders discussed France's military operation against Islamic extremists in Africa's Sahel region. Both leaders were set to meet families of the victims of the Bataclan massacre on Tuesday evening.

The game also saw Jason "White Chocolate" Williams fall to the court in a scary moment and walk off with a leg injury.

3 Headed Monsters' Rashard Lewis and Ghost Ballers' Mike Bibby.

For now, the BIG3 officially exists, and its first day went off mostly without a hitch. Games will take place on Sundays, and teams will have a week off between matches.

Whether that continues when the real games start will be determined beginning Sunday.

The Big3 is scheduled to play at the BOK Center on July 9.

For The Win spoke with numerous fans throughout the event. These are guys who are elite professionals and majority are only a couple of years out of the league. Maybe we haven't seen the last of Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant.

Only time will tell, however, if a league so reliant on nostalgia can become something sustainable, or if it is destined to be a novelty act that quickly loses its luster.

If not, as Cube would say, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself.
