Special agent in charge David Gelios said authorities are investigating the attack by Amor Ftouhi as an act of terrorism, but clarified authorities had no indication at this time that Ftouhi was involved in a "wider plot"-though the investigation was in its early stages". The Flint airport was closed after the attack, but re-opened after it was deemed there were no additional threats to the public or staff.
All passengers were safe, the airport said in a brief statement on its page.
