US President Donald Trump pitched a new concept to his supporters Wednesday (June 21) for the wall he intends to erect on the Mexican border: cover it with solar panels - and use the energy to cover construction costs.
The closely-watched Georgia race was seen as a referendum on Trump's agenda.

"We've had a very good relationship with China", President Trump said, "and I do like President Xi".
The rally here was the first one staged by his campaign committee since an event in Pennsylvania in late April marking the president's 100th day in office.
"They just want to obstruct", Mr. Trump said.

The president called for congressional bipartisanship and then blasted the Democrats needed to make that happen. "You believe that America must protect and defend its own citizens". Trump said. "I'm waiting for them to accuse him of wanting that little amount of money".

He began to acknowledge he'd like Democratic support in the effort to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama's signature achievement. "I will give you an idea that nobody has heard about yet", he said.
Trump, during his rally, cast off such criticism, saying the appointment of such people as Gary Cohn, a former president of Goldman Sachs, would help the country better represent itself on the global stage. He's the president of Goldman Sachs. Some Trump administration officials, who want to reduce the number of foreign workers entering the US, consider the rule to be executive over-reach by the previous administration. He later touted the wealth of Ross and chief economic adviser Gary Cohn, saying: "Those particular positions, I just don't want a poor person".
He slighted wind-power as a reliable energy source - "I don't want to just hope the wind blows to light up your homes" - even though Iowa is the highest producer of wind energy in the US, accounting for nearly a third of its energy production.
Trump said he will soon introduce legislation that would bar immigrants to the United States from being on welfare for their first five years in the country. However, as The Hill noted, that law already exists.
