US President Donald Trump has issued a stream of tweets defending his record and lashing out at the investigation into Russian interference in last year's US presidential election.
President Donald Trump wants to make it very clear to all Americans: An investigation of his campaign's tied to Moscow is a "witch hunt", plain and simple.
A source on Trump's legal team claimed the president was referring to a Washington Post story "from the other night" rather than confirming he is being investigated.
"It's frustrating because it keeps us from getting to the things that need to be done, and I'm not sure that that isn't the real reason for it", he said.
Regarding President Trump's tweet as reported in the June 16 front-page article "Trump decries Mueller probe ": How much richer can this get? He can not in a Twitter statement include all of that in there. That's it.
Koepka wins first major after pulling away at US Open
As Harman began to fade, Koepka poured it on with birdies over the next three holes, lightly pumping his fist after each one. Ireland's Shane Lowry completed his week with a one-over-par round of 73, to finish on three-over for the tournament.
Trump mentioned the "distraction of the Witch Hunt" again in a Sunday morning post.
In a paid "Sponsored" post that Trump has published on Facebook, he is asking for help from his supporters in order to fight a so-called "Witch Hunt".
The contradictory messages came after Trump first answered - and seemingly confirmed - reports that he is personally being investigated for obstruction of justice when he tweeted on Friday: "I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!"
Special counsel Robert Mueller is overseeing the investigation into Russia's role in the 2016 U.S. election.
