Former NFL star quarterback Vince Young's comeback attempt in the CFL was cut short after he was released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Ryan Pollock, the team's director of media relations, confirmed Steinberg is indeed Young's agent, but wouldn't release any details.
But Young suffered a torn hamstring during training camp.
Young was expected to be sidelined from four to six weeks. After five seasons with the Titans, beginning in 2006 when he was the Offensive Rookie and the Year and played in the Pro Bowl, he spent one season with Philadelphia.

Kevin Glenn is to start at quarterback for Saskatchewan in Thursday's regular-season opener against the host Montreal Alouettes. No NFL team would take a shot on the former third overall pick, so he went to the CFL.
Young, 34, signed a two-year contract with a second-year option with the Roughriders in March. He went on to spend time as a backup with the Bills, Packers and Browns before retiring from the National Football League in 2014.
This could be it for Young in football.
