Two elephants work together to rescue a baby elephant from drowning

Every other day, you come across videos of different species from the animal world that make your eyes go wide open and jaw drop.

The 11-month-old elephant was drinking from the pond when suddenly it fell in and struggled to resurface.

Another elephant blocked off by a fence can be seen running around in clear distress, but it looked as though it may well be a tragic end to the young calf's life.

At the Grand Park Zoo in Seoul, South Korea, two elephants were seen on CCTV rushing to rescue a baby elephant who'd fallen into a pool.

Nearly immediately after the calf slips in the large pool while taking a drink, a nearby adult rushes over to the side of the other elephant.

The video shows the calf falling into the water while trying to get a drink.

The calf tries unsuccessfully to swim, and one adult elephant tries to help from outside of the pool.

Both the elephants kept the calf in between them and lifted the youngster so that the trunk and head remain above the water. Either way, the awesome display of teamwork only made us wonder if humans would react the same way keeping in mind the dozens of incidents of public apathy.
