At Least 65 People Missing in London Fire

Police in London have said 58 people are now presumed dead following this week's devastating fire at Grenfell tower block.

The blaze ripped through the 24-storey building in the early hours of Wednesday, leaving residents trapped in the high rise block.

Between 50 and 60 people stormed Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall as members of the public said the homeless needed help "right now".

She said she was warned of the fire at 12.50am - within minutes the London Fire Brigade had been alerted to a blaze which quickly took over the large building.

NHS England said 18 patients remain in hospital after the fire, including nine who are in critical care.

"When you have a fire that takes hold like that, that is literally an inferno".

"Obviously, the longer people have to wait, especially finding out what happened to their loved ones, (that) can create anger", said Abdurahman Sayed, Chief Executive Officer of al-Manaar.

Vanezis said the best chance to identify victims may be if firefighters find bits of teeth or bone, medical devices like pacemakers or artificial implants.
