Warriors coach Steve Kerr responds to the critics

When the game was better than it was now - as Kerr and his Golden State Warriors set to attempt to become the first National Basketball Association team in history to sweep its way through the postseason in 2017.

Steve Kerr apparently is of the same opinion. Let them talk, the Warriors say.

"They're all right, they would kill us". The game gets worse as time goes on. But that hasn't stopped the takes that teams like the 1996 Chicago Bulls or the "Showtime" Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980s could handle Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Co. if they played each other today. The guys in the 50s would've destroyed everybody. It's weird how human evolution goes reverse in sports. Players get weaker, smaller, less skilled. "I can't explain it".

Whether it's Magic Johnson saying his Showtime Lakers would sweep the Warriors or Kerr's former teammate Scottie Pippen saying the same thing previous year, it's become a popular debate.

Durant leads Warriors' rally past Cavaliers
Things that are near-perfect. "I said it after we won the Eastern Conference finals that we're getting ready for a juggernaut". Sharks in the deep water of the ocean and lions on the prowl out on the savanna. "No, only missed shots".

You'd have to be pretty hardheaded to believe this Warriors team would lose to a team from 50 years ago.

. "I'm sorry. Too little". Warriors forward Draymond Green laughed off Johnson's claim that the Lakers "would've probably swept" Golden State.

Steph Curry (l.) and Kevin Durant are a flawless 15-0 in these playoffs.

During Jackson's tenure in Golden State, the franchise went from 27th in defensive efficiency during his first season to fourth in his final season.

Stephen Curry doesn't see the point of debating it. "I don't want to be in that situation where you're having to argue that".
