Radio Slovenia says French carmaker Renault's assembly plant in Slovenia has halted production after it was targeted in the global cyberattack.
It did insist, however, that patients are not being put at risk by the ransomware attacks and that there appears to be no urgent danger of the confidentiality of their records being compromised.
The attack hit Britain's health service, forcing affected hospitals to close wards and emergency rooms.
Researchers with security software maker Avast said they had observed 57,000 infections in 99 countries with Russia, Ukraine and Taiwan the top targets.
What's caused the attack?
"The investigation is at an early stage but we believe the malware variant is Wanna Decryptor". The malware only affects files that exist in the computer.Ransomware typically gets onto a computer when a person unsuspectingly downloads a file that looks like a normal attachment or Web link.
This is an arms race between the hackers and security experts and the security experts are losing.
A hacking group called Shadow Brokers released the malware in April claiming to have discovered the flaw from the NSA, Kaspersky said.
The malware used in the NHS attack is called WannaCry and attacks Windows operating systems.
The ransomware encrypted data on the computers, demanding payments of US$300 to US$600 to restore access.
A spokesman for NHS Digital, which manages health service cyber security, said: "At this stage, we do not have any evidence that patient data has been accessed".
Arsenal must be 'strong together' - Wenger
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "Traditionally there is a fierce rivalry and they had always a very direct game against us". Where can I watch Stoke vs Arsenal? Stoke have won just one of their last nine matches (D3, L5).
"If you do use NHS services please bear with us as you may experience longer than usual waits while we work to rectify the situation".
Beaumont examined a sample of the ransomware used to target NHS and confirmed it was the same used to target Telefónica.
This has led to speculation that the total number of organisations crippled by the ransomware is not as high as some figures reported.
"I don't believe it will have been a targeted attack, but will simply have been that the ransomware has sought out those organizations that are running susceptible devices", he said.
The breadth of the attack seems to indicate that the software had been spreading around the globe possibly for weeks but lay dormant when first introduced into a network, said Sean Dillon, a senior security analyst with RiskSense Inc.
The National Cyber Security Centre says teams are working round the clock in response to the attack, reported to have hit nearly 100 countries, including the United States and Russian Federation.
She added: "This is not targeted at the NHS, it's an worldwide attack and a number of countries and organisations have been affected".
"The National Cyber Security Centre is working closely with NHS Digital to ensure that they support the organisations concerned and that they protect patient safety".
"Our focus is on supporting organisations to manage the incident swiftly and decisively, but we will continue to communicate with NHS colleagues and will share more information as it becomes available", it said.
In Asia, some hospitals, schools, universities and other institutions were affected, although the full extent of the damage is not yet known because it is the weekend. There have been several incidents in the U.S., including one in IN where a hospital's IT system was taken down and patients had to be diverted to other facilities, according to a local news report.
