The White House did not anticipate that the Russian government would allow its state news agency to post photographs of an Oval Office meeting between President Donald Trump, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russia's ambassador to the USA, a White House official said.

Two additional photos posted on the White House Flickr at the same time were taken during Trump's meeting with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, whose meeting with the president was also left off the public schedule for the day.

This photo shows President Trump welcoming Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak to the Oval Office, despite the fact the White House has made no mention of his presence.

The White House also shifted its stance on whether Comey's termination had anything to do with the Russian Federation investigation, at first saying it was not linked.

Referring to the photograph of Trump with the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pavlo Klimkin "in the very same Oval Office", in which Klimkin is seen with his hands on Trump's table, with the president seated beside him, the Russian official pointed out that the Ukrainian minister might had left his fingerprints on the U.S. president's desk.

An "independent special counsel" should be appointed to continue an FBI investigation into potential collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russians, said the attorneys general, all Democrats. The ambassador was also not mentioned in the official White House readout of the meeting. Having shared his post, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova said the American media had "touched the bottom" by "bullying" their colleagues. Well at least the White House is focused on the important stuff right now. He wrote a message to his US colleagues on Facebook today saying that he went through the usual screenings.

Donald Trump's administration was left red-faced on Thursday after Moscow surprised it by releasing pictures of a closed-door meeting between the U.S. president and Russia's top diplomat.

CNN's senior White House correspondent, Jim Acosta, tweeted that a White House official had said Russians "lie" and had "tricked" United States officials.

Former US intelligence officials have suggested allowing a Russian photographer access to the Oval Office could pose a potential cyber-security risk, and the director of the National Security Agency, Admiral Mike Rogers, was grilled on the subject by the Senate Intelligence Committee Thursday.

Former Deputy Director of CIA David Cohen replied to the tweet, "No, it was not".

"We know that drugs and crime go hand in hand", Sessions said Friday. In the house on its results, said that trump has expressed its intention to improve relations with Russian Federation.

"Russian Federation tried to undermine our free election system; they tried to influence an election in America, that's a very serious issue", said Cardin.
