Hours after a conference call to tell the Red Sox and Orioles "Enough is enough", Baltimore starter Kevin Gausman was ejected in the second inning for hitting a batter and Boston went on to win 4-2 Wednesday night.

Orioles center fielder Adam Jones said Monday night that he was called a racial epithet at Fenway Park, sparking a conversation about race in Boston.

"The Red Sox organization will not tolerate the use of racial slurs at Fenway Park, and we have apologized to those affected", the team said. Later that same evening, the team had another fan escorted out of Fenway Park after throwing a racial slur at another fan in the stands. A civil rights unit will determine if further action will be taken.

Two days later, Red Sox reliever Matt Barnes threw a pitch near the head of Machado and subsequently was ejected.

One day after Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale appeared to intentionally throw a pitch at Orioles third baseman Manny Machado, prompting just a warning for both ball clubs, Gausman was immediately ejected when a curveball appeared to unintentionally hit Xander Bogaerts on the hip. The man who received the ban reportedly denied that he used the slur. Hennick reported a white fan for making a racist remark about a Kenyan woman who sang the national anthem.

Escobar's homer, 4 RBIs lead Twins past White Sox
The Twins have prospered away from Target Field, beginning their six-game trek with their eighth win in 12 road contests. White Sox manager Rick Renteria was pleased with his team's pitching - especially the bullpen after the fifth.

"Minor leagues, big leagues. from L.A.to NY, it's more apparent in some places than other places", Baker said. "The more I think about it, the more I think it was a deliberate thumb in the eye", said Hennick, a 35-year-old white man who was with his biracial 5-year-old son and father-in-law, who is originally from Haiti. He also spoke at length about the racism that Jones faced and said that, while he doesn't remember experiencing racism in Boston at any point in his career, he obviously knows and understands that racism is still a big problem in America.

Boston police said the peanuts hit a nearby police officer, and Fenway security kicked out the man who threw them before he could be identified by authorities.

Home plate umpire Sam Holbrook and the Baltimore Orioles' defense gift-wrapped a victory for the Boston Red Sox here Wednesday. "It's not acceptable to the Red Sox".

Orioles outfielder Adam Jones said Tuesday that racial taunts that prompted immediate condemnation around baseball and Boston have no place in today's game but speak to larger racial issues in the United States. He also said there would be extra security around the outfield Tuesday night.

James said these incidents are a bad look for American sports. "Racism is going to be a part of tine forever, I believe, but for us, the people that have opportunities to have a voice and people that have an opportunity to have some play on the youth that's coming up, we have to lead them the best way we can".
