Bezos hadn't commented clearly on the tensions between the companies about their competing devices and why Amazon's app had remained a holdout in the Apple TV realm, but he did hint at Recode's Code Conference past year that it had something to do with "acceptable business terms" being available for putting their app on the device.
A week ago it was reported Amazon Prime Video could could finally be arriving on the Apple TV.
Apple will reportedly announce support for Amazon's premium streaming service on the Apple TV during its WWDC keynote on June 5, sources familiar with the matter tell BuzzFeed News.
The frosting of the relationship between the two companies should also mean the Apple TV will be available to buy from Amazon once again. The app doesn't have a hard release date, but is expected officially to hit Apple TVs this summer. The digital retailer stopped selling Apple TV and Google's Chromecast in 2015 as it began pushing its own Fire TV Stick.

During a Windows 10 on ARM session at Build 2017, Microsoft shared some more details about Windows 10 on ARM. Getting more devices on Windows 10 will help encourage companies to make more apps and services for it.
"Over the last three years, Prime Video has become an important part of Prime", said Amazon in a statement back in October 2015.
It sounds as if Amazon has decided that Apple's terms are acceptable. "The question is, can you get it on there with acceptable business terms?"
In addition, Apple's traditional 30 percent cut on purchases made within apps has been a hurdle for larger third-party developers. There's no indication whether the eventual Prime Video app will allow for purchases or if it'll only draw from Amazon's streaming video options.
Prime members with an Apple TV have had to use a workaround involving the Amazon Prime Video iOS app and AirPlay in order to watch Amazon originals like Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle.
