The Election Commission, however, rejected the claim of the Aam Aadmi Party that its EVMs can be tampered with, saying the machine hacked in the Delhi assembly was a "look-alike" gadget and not the actual equipment used by it.

Opposition leader Vijender Gupta was on Tuesday marshalled out of the Delhi Assembly after he created a ruckus raising corruption allegations against the ruling AAP and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during the one-day special session. He adds that EVMs with Election Commission can not be tampered with. However, sources said the machine “did not” seem to be among the ones that are used during elections.

Bhardwaj, who represents the Greater Kailash constituency, claimed that in his capacity as an engineer, he had extensively worked in this area and was aware of how the machines can be fiddled with. After entering a "secret code", Bhardwaj pressed 10 votes for the AAP in the machine used for the goal of demonstration.

While the BJP accused the AAP of "mocking democracy" inside the assembly, sacked Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra, who has hurled the bribery charges against Kejriwal, said the demonstration was a diversionary ploy. Kejriwal has also moved another application claiming that some of the alleged remarks attributed to him and other AAP leaders by Jaitley in his criminal defamation case were not defamatory. "We, even in power, raised this issue, because it is not about three or five years, but about democracy", he further said.

Bhardwaj, who said that he was a software engineer before joining politics, showed exactly how voting machines can be tampered with.

Kejriwal has not spoken about the charges made by Mishra. "Hence, we have demanded his removal" Gupta said.

Bhardwaj, who told the Assembly that he had a BTech degree in computer science and that he had worked on microprocessors and micro-controllers, said, "An ordinary engineering graduate like me can manipulate an EVM by working on it for just 10 to 15 days".

- Yadav adds that now everyone will come to know why the BJP is silent over EVM tampering issue.
