The former New England Patriots tight end was found hanging from a bed sheet in his cell on April 19 in a maximum-security prison in MA, where he was serving a life sentence for a 2013 murder. Its contents are as follows.

In part of the letter, Hernandez called Jenkins his "soul-mate" he would always love, NBC Boston reported.

In the note, Hernandez wrote he "indirectly" told Jenkins-Hernandez his death was coming. I love you so much and know you are an angel - [literally/eternally]! "We split into two to come change the world!" I love you! Let (redacted) know how much I love her! "This was. the almightys plan, not mine!"

"I knew I loved you = Savage Garden", the note ended.

He also tells her to look after "my boys", - two names are redacted from the letter - and adds an underlined note in parentheses: "Youre rich".

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was linked to the Bloods street gang, new documents related to the National Football League star's suicide revealed Friday, according to the Associated Press.

According to NBC Boston, the Bristol County District Attorney released Hernandez's letter to his fiancee today to precede Tuesday's court hearing, which will determine whether Hernandez's 2015 murder conviction of Odin Lloyd should be thrown out.

"It would allow the defendant to control not only the course of his own criminal litigation, but all litigation against him", First Assistant Bristol County District Attorney Pat Bomberg wrote.

Although some reports have suggested Aaron Hernandez had a net worth of around $8 million at the time of his death, a MA court document has since revealed otherwise.

However, if the Patriots can no longer cite Hernandez's status as being involved in a murder, they might be compelled to pay his estate the $3.5 million in signing-bonus money, plus possibly $2.5 million from his guaranteed contract, that they have withheld. An investigative report, released Thursday, May 4, 2017, on the suicide of Hernandez has confirmed that he wrote a reference to a biblical passage in ink on his forehead and in blood on the wall of his prison cell.

The prison file, included in full below, contains notes from interviews with Hernandez's friends and fellow inmates following his hanging suicide on April 19.

From there Hernandez alludes to Shayanna that his death may not have been a total surprise.

In all, Hernandez racked up about a dozen separate disciplinary offenses between May 2015 and October 2016, including three fistfights, two smoking-related issues, two surprise prison tattoos and possession of a almost six-inch sharpened metal shiv. He was serving a life sentence for murder.

Those who said they were "tight" or "real close" with Hernandez said he had become more spiritual during his time in prison, and felt his suicide was some sort of religious message, the report states.
