In metro Detroit, the average price is down six cents with the current average of $2.36 per gallon, which is 14 cents more than a year ago. After two steep losses in three days, benchmark US crude oil jumped 70 cents, or 1.5 percent, to $46.22 a barrel in NY.
The lowest gas prices can be found in the Flint area, according to AAA, where it is about $2.24 per gallon.
The average price for a gallon of gas in Alaska is around $2.86, according to price watch website gasbuddy.com - a rise of six cents in price over the last month and 43 cents since a year ago.
Des Moines- $2.44/g, flat from last week's $2.44/g.
Austin- $2.17/g, down 2.5 cents per gallon from last week's $2.20/g. The statewide average of $2.34 gallon.
