Pennsylvania's own Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores could become a thing of the past.

TALLAHASSEE | A bill allowing liquor sales in grocery stores has passed, but the controversy surrounding it has not. The bill now heads to Gov. His office said he would review it.

"Yes members, we have now entered the Twilight Zone", he joked, adding he wanted to be "honest about the genesis of this bill", calling out Wal-Mart and Target by name. The issue affects Publix, at least in part, because it has opened stand-alone liquor stores in numerous same shopping centers as its supermarkets. "Projections have the current state store model running in the red by 2021". "That law has outlived its day". "This bill will allow Florida to join the majority of states that already allow grocery stores and big box retailers to sell alcohol to willing consumers safely and responsibly".

The bill's other provisions include prohibiting new liquor stores within 1,000 feet of a school and requiring small bottles of liquor to be placed behind the counter.

"Let's be honest about how we got here. We're not the big box stores with all the money to fight all of these regulations", said Patricia. Plakon said. "Are we going to give it to them?"

Senate Democrats have been a solid "no" vote on privatization efforts, and there are enough Republican senators wary of liquor privatization that it could stall the proposals. It has also given $10,000 to Florida Roundtable, Corcoran's political committee, and $204,000 to the Florida Senatorial Campaign Committee, headed by Senate President Joe Negron, R-Stuart, since 2015.

He threw down an alley-oop dunk from Curry on his first possession, and completed two more alley-oops in the next three minutes. The Warriors just have too much talent. "They know that's what our team is built on", Kerr said of the Golden State defence.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Florida House of Representatives voted to eliminate a restriction that keeps supermarket chains from selling hard alcohol in their grocery stores.

Obtaining a license might also be an issue.

We have long held that it is an intolerable conflict of interest for Pennsylvania to both be the primary vendor of wine and spirits to its citizens and then also credibly act as the enforcer of liquor laws.

Dozens of owners and workers of independent liquor stores throughout the state watched the House debate on the bill Tuesday and Wednesday, wearing T-shirts opposing the measure. They fear the bill will allow large retailers to eat away at their market share.

Another measure would allow privately owned retail liquor stores, an expansion created to fill gaps in the state that are not adequately served by the 600 stores of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Jason Unger, a lobbyist for Target, noted 31 other states don't have the liquor wall requirement, and Target carries liquor in 15 of them.
