NFL Draft: The Chicago Bears need to draft a quarterback early

We can finally put all the predictions and prognostications in the rearview mirror, because it is nearly time for teams to draft intriguing prospects like North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky and LSU running back Leonard Fournette.

Also, remember that the weeks leading up to the draft involve a lot of misinformation to try to throw other teams off the track.

And it was a huge surprise to see King's prediction that the Browns will trade up from No. 12 with the New York Jets to select Mentor High School product Mitch Trubisky. Although some say they still think Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett will be their No. 1 pick, the internal debate has occurred, with some in the front office preferring the quarterback and the coaching staff wanting Garrett.

Kaaya could sneak into Round 3, but I suspect it's more likely he ends up going in Round 4. "But if you have an opportunity to get a great football player who's a running back, he can have a big impact on your football team", Garrett said during the scouting combine.

My first guess: The Panthers, because Silver's report said the top eight teams and the Panthers pick eighth overall. Picking at number three overall and having many holes to fill, they have a plethora of choices.

Can't they wait until next year when the quarterbacks are supposed to be better?

We've looked ourselves in the mirror and said, 'Do we think that we are actually superhuman when it comes to picking players?' And we pretty easily answered that with a resounding no.

Trump's concession on wall funding removes obstacle from spending talks
The White House was also hoping for a revival of the failed health care efforts ahead of that marker. The spending package must be approved no later than Friday to avoid a government shutdown.

Seeing that Wentz is already in that category, combined with what has so far proven a lackluster 2016 draft, it's understandable if Browns fans are wondering whether owner Jimmy Haslam has screwed up yet again.

With eleven total picks and five in the first 65 selections, the Browns have plenty of assets needed to move up and down the draft board. Who knows what to expect - this has been a insane year.

McCaffrey, meanwhile, will bring versatility to whatever team drafts him.

Rob Lowder: No. The 49ers aren't in a position to trade away draft capital, let alone a first-round pick. One way or another, they need to get that quarterback. If the Browns agree, they could trade down to later in the round to get Trubisky at a better value. If the team likes him at No. 1, it will love him at No. 12.

I think all of the Illini players can do special things at the next level.

College prospects like Southern Cal's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen and Wyoming's Josh Allen also could be within Cleveland's reach, either through the team's draft slot or a trade.
