San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said he sat his entire starting line-up just 52 seconds into the second half against the Memphis Grizzlies because they started like they "were out on a picnic".
SAN ANTONIO - Tipoff time for Game 5 of the Spurs-Grizzlies first-round playoff series will be Tuesday at 8 p.m in the AT&T Center. After a slow start that had them fall down into an early 10-point hole, Conley put his hands on the game an guided the Grizzlies into a superb second quarter.
If it weren't for this block, we might be looking at a 3-1 series deficit.
Fizdale's answer seemed to show what he hopes happens more than what might happen in reality. "So I'm going to check the rulebook to see if robots are allowed to play in the National Basketball Association". "He was a rookie, just like we've all been there".
The Memphis Grizzlies looked absolutely down and out after getting blown out in the first two games of the series but fast forward to today and we're looking at a tied series as the Grizzlies escaped Game 4 with a 110-108 overtime win.
Fizdale hit the nail on the head: Leonard is indeed a superstar.
He said that it's "unacceptable" that Zach Randolph had zero free-throw attempts compared to Leonard's 19 trips to the charity stripe. "It was about tonight and showing that we have heart and showing that we have enough in the tank to show that we can win and give ourselves confidence and allow us to believe that we can make this a series". Mike Conley led Memphis with 35 points and had nine rebounds and eight assists.
Aaron Hernandez lawyers seek to dismiss murder conviction
Some of the notes "could be considered suicide notes", Daniel Bennett, Massachusetts' secretary of public safety, told reporters. The private service for family and friends is being held Monday afternoon in Bristol, Connecticut, where Hernandez grew up.
"I've always said we play better with our backs against the wall", coach Dwane Casey said. It's the reason why the Spurs finished with the the Western Conference's second-best record with a senescent roster.
Memphis fans roared when Fizdale came onto the court before the game following his rant. If shots aren't way off, they're rattling out on him, and he is uncharacteristically out of position on defense. International Business Times predicted the Spurs would sweep. LaMarcus Aldridge had one thunderous jam, but scored just 13 points and was not much of a factor otherwise. They will focus on that game later.
Milwaukee shot 37 percent overall in Game 4, but 31 percent (13 of 42) in the second half. They finished 16 of 28 (57.1 percent). Off the bench in Game 3 for San Antonio, Kyle Anderson had 15 points and Patty Mills scored 11.
Even when relegated to coming off the bench after being a starter throughout his long career, Randolph never griped about playing fewer minutes.
The Grizzlies took very good care of the ball, with only two turnovers through three quarters.
Captain Clutch Mike Conley dropped 24 points and eight assists on the Spurs, leading all scorers along the way. Outside of Tony Parker, however, assistance was nonexistent. He had 11 points, six rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes, and the team said at the time the injury was a bruised toe.
