Premier League leaders Chelsea slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Manchester United on Sunday to sit just four points clear of second place Tottenham.

The Spain midfielder set up Marcus Rashford's goal with a magnificent throughball after seven minutes, before going on to score with a deflected effort after the break as United beat the Premier League leaders 2-0 at Old Trafford.

United moved back into fifth place, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester City with a game in hand.

Chelsea's position is now under the greatest threat since they ascended to the top of the Premier League in December, but Conte - who won three consecutive titles in charge of Juventus - said that he is relishing the challenge.

Facing his former club, Mourinho rested top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic and charged Ander Herrera and Matteo Darmian with the task of man-marking Chelsea dangermen Eden Hazard and Pedro. The league is open and we have 50 per cent probability to win the league.

Liverpool must believe they can claim top-four finish, says Wijnaldum
Palace forward Andros Townsend refused to accept they could relax and plan for another season in the Premier League . Allardyce said: "It's a bad injury but nothing broken, which we're very pleased about".

United were ahead on seven minutes after Herrera had split the Chelsea defence with a ideal pass to Rashford, who swept home past Asmir Begovic. Herrera continued to say that "on the counter-attack we hurt them" as they couldn't deal with the pace that United had up front.

"If our players had been on their game today and we had Diego Costa in the form he was in back in October and November, we would have beaten United without any problems".

Anderlecht are next up for United on Thursday as Mourinho's men look to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League. I want to succeed.

"I don't think they could go and play like that every week against lesser teams who will sit in and not try and open up against them".

"In this case I wasn't able to transfer the right motivation to play this type of game". They struggled to cope with us defensively and they struggled to cope with us with Marcus and other target points we had on the pitch.

'We deserve to win a lot of games but sometimes it is not possible and we draw.
