The Saints open their season with a road game against the Vikings in a Monday-night game on September 11. On the other hand, Peterson explained on his Twitter account in March he was in "no rush" to find a team and was looking for "the best fit".

After a wait of more than a month, Adrian Peterson seems to have found his landing spot back in the NFL. He said the deal is worth a total base value of $7 million, with the 2017 compensation coming in at $3.5 million guaranteed, including a $1 million salary and a $2.5 million signing bonus. Most importantly, I chose this team because it just felt right within my spirit.

He continued: "On offense, it goes without saying that the Saints are really solid behind Drew Brees".

The NFL announced last week the Saints would play at Minnesota in the primary Monday game to open the 2017 season.

Trump proposing 'biggest tax cut' in USA history
Mnuchin said he would like the tax overhaul to be permanent, but "if we have them for 10 years, that's better than nothing". The argument that tax cuts pay for themselves has been debunked by economists from across the political spectrum.

Griffen is excited about facing Peterson right away. "He fumbles at times, but he's a good player overall", Sherman Banks said. "You never were able to touch him". When he gets the ball, we have to tackle him.

"It's really disappointing. I feel like Minnesota needs him because I feel like he's a good player". Since the start of free agency, reports linked Peterson to Tampa Bay, the New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, and New England Patriots Thus deciding to sign with the NFC South team.

In his career with the Vikings, Peterson is 0-3 all-time against the Bucs - he lost 19-13 in 2008, rushing for 85 yards, then lost 24-20 in 2011, rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns, then lost 36-17 in 2012, rushing for 123 yards and one score. The Black and Gold were in need of a running back following free agent Tim Hightower's departure to San Francisco. That said, Peterson can add another risky element to Payton's offense if he looks more like his Pro Bowl self than the aging back we saw rush for just 1.9 yards per carry in limited action last season.

In 10 seasons with the Vikings, Peterson rushed for franchise records of 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns in 123 games. He also was the league's top rusher in 2015 with 1,485 yards. "I don't care who comes in, where I'm at, who I'm playing with, I'm always going to compete, I'm always going to do the best I can do". Hes done so much for this organization and the Twin Cities.
