Air China to suspend flights to North Korea

Trump posted a tweet Tuesday in which he said the North is "looking for trouble" and reiterated his call for more pressure from Beijing, North Korea's economic lifeline, to clamp down on trade and strengthen its enforcement of United Nations sanctions to persuade Pyongyang to denuclearize. "Once the war breaks out, everybody will end up as a loser, and there will be no winners".

Trump also signaled a willingness for the U.S. to play a more confrontational role with North Korea, adding: "So we'll see what happens". And we have the best military people on earth. The so-called 'Mother of All Bombs' is as tall as a three-storey building weighs 8.5 tons and reaps destruction over a 1.5-kilometer area.

The suspension, however, comes amid rising tensions on the Korean peninsula. "We can see from today that North Korea's missile technology has advanced far more than we had previously thought".

This year's celebrations come at a tense time on the Korean Peninsula, days after a United States strike group was deployed to the region and amid expectations of another missile or nuclear test by Pyongyang. This is what they are trying to prevent from happening.

Trump's ordering of missile strikes against Syria has also helped to fuel tensions, with North Korea labeling the strike "an unforgivable act of aggression" that showed its decision to develop nuclear weapons was "the right choice a million times over". So in response, North Korea has turned to developing nuclear weapons to create a deterrence.

Kim Jong Un, a 30-something leader who took power in late 2011 after the death of his father, Kim Jong Il, emphasises nuclear weapons as the foundation of his national defence strategy.

The North also previous year launched a long-range rocket that put a satellite into orbit, which Washington, Seoul and others saw as a banned test of missile technology. Cold launches would also allow the missiles to be fired from silos. So there is definitely a double standard at play here.

HL: Yes, definitely. Supposedly Trump's policy review on North Korea is now complete. Satellite images, taken from the North Korea's Sinpo South Shipyard in December of a year ago, also indicated a nuclear submarine preparing to go to sea.

Donald Trump has promised North Korea will be "taken care of". We have been here before in the past. This is very unsafe. "Otherwise we're just going to go it alone, '" Trump said.

In recent time North Korea has responded to USA hostility by declaring that they are prepared for war.

US sanctions 271 Syrian government workers after chemical attack
It was the second time the United States government has sanctioned Syrians for the government's use of chemical weapons. The 271 either have scientific expertise for the program or have been involved in it since 2012, the statement said.

Now, is this the path that the USA wants to go down?

Amid these tensions, reports of impending military action have been swirling.

The U.S. and its allies have tried for years to squeeze the North Korean government's supply of money and cut it off from the global banking system. If they are unable to do so, the USA, with its allies, will! This is unthinkable. This is not in the interest of the US or South Korea, or anyone in the region.

RT: Is the USA capable of finding a solution out of this crisis? "But it's not what you would think".

HL: Yes, of course.

"We had a very good bonding".

The ministry issued a statement saying North Korea will face strong punishment it will find hard to withstand if it makes a significant provocation, such as another nuclear test or an ICBM launch.

Trump has urged China to step up measures to prevent North Korea from carrying out more nuclear and weapons tests, and threatened US intervention if Beijing-Pyongyang talks falter.

To add to the growing controversy Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe suggested Thursday that North Korea "may already have the capability to deliver missiles equipped with sarin nerve agent", according to CNN.
