California authorities have responded to a report of a shooting in a San Bernardino school classroom on Monday, April 10, 2017, officials said.
Smith's mother, Irma Sykes, said her daughter had been friends with Anderson for about four years before they got married. He then fatally shot himself.

School district officials said classes at North Park would be canceled for at least Tuesday and Wednesday.
Jonathan Martinez (8), died shortly after being airlifted to hospital, while a nine-year-old boy was in stable condition.
This is a rare occurrence in our schools, school district Superintendent Dale Marsden said.
Anderson fired 10 shots with a Smith & Wesson.357 magnum revolver inside a North Park classroom, stopping once to reload, Burguan said.

Leon and Rachel Brandy, the parents of the surviving North Park Elementary School shooting victim Nolan Brandy, shared a photo of their son as he recovers at the hospital. "To see that his school is safe". Donations soared to more than seven times the goal of $10,000 by Tuesday night.
San Bernardino police chief Jarrod Burguan said on Tuesday that Anderson threatened Smith when she moved out and accused her of infidelity in the first month of their marriage.
The rest of the school's students were taken by bus to Cal State San Bernardino, where they were fed lunch and interviewed by police.
Children with the syndrome can have learning disabilities and heart problems akin to hardening of the arteries, frequently requiring surgery.

Like others with the condition, Jonathan was social and had an affinity for music, and he brought joy and perspective to his family, Marsden said.
Students, close in age to the special education students who were shot in the attack, told KABC-TV that Smith was a "good teacher".
In a short video posted on February 27, the 53-year-old talks about why he loves her. He said Smith also had confided to relatives that she was concerned about his "odd" behaviour and that "he had made some threats toward her".
Later on Tuesday, the Mexican government confirmed in a statement that the deceased student was a Mexican national and that it "profoundly laments" his killing.
"She effectively kept her private life private", Burguan said. She said the long wait was "frustrating but also understandable". He added that Anderson apparently had contacted his wife to convince her to come home.
"As a parent I couldn't breathe".
The young boy was not in school Monday but when Valles heard the shooting was in Smith's classroom, she said she nearly passed out.
"I know him because one day he just walked up to me and said, 'Can we be friends?' and I said, 'Yeah, ' and we've been friends ever since", he said.
"She didn't deserve to die like this", Adam Smith said, his voice catching. "He's visiting God and they're happy there".
Neighbors told NBC 4 Los Angeles they had heard arguments at the couples' home before, but never knew the extent of how bad the fights were or what they were about.
