Superstar Shahid Afridi reciprocated team India's friendly gesture by thanking India captain Virat Kohli and the entire team for the gift they sent to him on his retirement.
Despite diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan affecting bilateral cricketing ties, the Indian team presented a Virat Kohli shirt, signed by all the players to Afridi on retiring from the worldwide cricket.
Afridi chose to pull curtains on an illustrious career which spanned 21 long years.
The 37-year-old all-rounder tweeted, "Thank you to you and the entire Indian team for a wonderful farewell gift Virat Kohli".

Both Cummins and the teenager looked healthy, but the girl was visibly emotional as the ordeal came to an end, Lopey said. TBI Director Mark Gwyn said Elizabeth will be flown back to Tennessee in a TBI aircraft to be reunited with her family.
The "wonderful" farewell gift comprised of an Indian jersey signed by the national squad, including the skipper Virat Kohli who wrote, "Always a pleasure playing against you!" below his signature.
Afridi had retired from Test and ODI cricket after ICC World Cup 2015. He hoped for "politics' to not intervene in the cricketing arena and allow both the sides to meet more frequently on the 22-yard circle".
He was recently announced as one of eight Champion Ambassadors for the Champions Trophy to be held in the United Kingdom from June 1 to 18, along with Harbhajan Singh, Habibul Bashar, Ian Bell, Shane Bond, Mike Hussey, Kumar Sangakkara and Graeme Smith.
