Former Fox News star Bill O'Reilly will receive $25 million as part of his settlement to leave the network in the wake of a sexual harassment scandal, according to a source familiar with the matter.
The scathing story also reported that a total of five women have received payouts totaling to roughly $13 million from either O'Reilly or 21st Century Fox as hush money to prevent them from pursuing litigation or speaking about their accusations against him.
During the Today show's extensive coverage on Thursday of Bill O'Reilly leaving Fox News over sexual harassment allegations, the NBC morning program used the controversy to resurrect the unsubstantiated 1991 smear campaign against then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas.
