Garcia finally shook off his nearly-man tag on Sunday when we won a Major at the 74th attempt, aged 37, beating England's Justin Rose in a play-off after a riveting back-nine duel.

"Jose Maria texted on Thursday saying how much he believed in me and to believe in myself".
Sitting in the press building Sunday as the leaders made the turn in the final round of the mound, I said to Jason Butt, "This is one of the most boring final rounds I can remember here". And I'm excited for those.
