Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester on the long-running Vancouver-film television series Supernatural, is reportedly facing multiple charges following a ruckus outside an Austin, Texas bar early Sunday morning.
According to TMZ, the 37-year-old was taken into custody and booked into jail after allegedly punching a bartender and the manager of Stereotype Bar in Austin.
He told police he tried to keep the actor and the assistant manager apart, then Padalecki allegedly "put his hands on" an unidentified doorman. However, that man is reportedly a friend who was apparently trying to calm Jared down.
Cops intervened, and Padalecki allegedly "flashed a wad of cash" at the officers as he was restrained.
World Series fans greet Trump with boos, chants
Jose Andrés, a prominent local restaurant owner and humanitarian, threw out the first pitch to a roaring, sustained ovation. This was the first time Donald Trump was attending a Major League Baseball game since he took office in January of 2017.
Padalecki is a frequent visitor to Stereotype, and may have an ownership stake in the establishment, according to TMZ.
His bond was set at $15,000, receiving $5,000 for each charge. The outlet reports that he's now facing two counts of assault and one count of public intoxication. Getting into a drunken altercation with three people in one night at your favorite local bar is an easy way to get yourself behind bars, and most likely shunned from the place - unless you're a celebrity, that is. Both Padalecki and Ackles own businesses in Austin, and he was at the bar's grand opening back in September 2018. And, it's unclear if he has posted his bail yet or if he is still behind bars.
New episodes of Supernatural air Thursday nights on the CW.
Padalecki was recently tapped as the star in the newest "Walker, Texas Ranger" reboot.
