"It's a little bit more open but you still have to put Andy as one of those three or four guys that can win the title". But, if I play like that, I certainly won't win Wimbledon.

Jordan Thompson was responsible for the tremors that rocked the Queen's Club and Andy Murray was the man left shaken. And Thompson wiped the floor with
Murray 7-6, 6-2.

Nobody could have predicted an outcome like this, especially because Jordan Thompson was a lucky loser who didn't even reach the main draw.

"Andy is among the three big favorites to win Wimbledon, alongside Roger and Rafa".

Thompson should not have been derailing the world No 1's Wimbledon preparations with such ease and such aplomb.

While Thompson was delighted with his own game, he did concede Murray was not at his best.

"Definitely the biggest win of my career", Thompson said. On a technical level, the Briton's forehand and serve have both been unreliable and they failed him again on Tuesday.

Murray's first-round exit will earn him around £12,000.

Highland Reel was the 56th career victor at Royal Ascot for the 47-year-old O'Brien, who began training in 1993. The Siyouni colt, second in the French Two Thousand Guineas (G1) in his previous start, finished in 1:25.05.

"One tournament doesn't change all of what had gone on just beforehand". Ivan Lendl, pictured, looked even grimmer than usual.

The defeat was the Scot's first at the tournament since 2014 and ended a 14-match winning streak on grass stretching back to 2015.

Murray and Soares' victory sets up a clash with American Ryan Harrison and Michael Venus of New Zealand. And Thompson ain't no Federer. The first set there was not much in it.

"I don't know if I can say my immediate thoughts", said Thompson at his post-match interview.

Feliciano Lopez of Spain celebrates winning the first set against Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland during day two of the Queen's Club tennis tournament in London, Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Didn't get it. Got broken soon after that.

"Obviously it's been a tough few months, no question about that, but when I'm playing, I'm just trying to concentrate on my tennis and when I'm away from the court I'm just trying to spend a lot of time with my family and the people that mean a lot or are important to me". But I didn't create loads of chances, really. I didn't return particularly well. "My serve helped me in it, and then I won the big points when it mattered". It was as if he could not quite believe that he had played so poorly after practising so hard and so well. After playing very well at Roland Garros, Murray's fans, and himself were expecting to improve when the grass season starts. "It's unfortunate I couldn't have done better for that reason". It is the story of Murray's stop-start year. Obviously the disappointment is high right now. There weren't too many matches yesterday, but I hung around.

"There's still a lot of work to do physically and on my game, to be in a better place on grass".
