The same company that created the ultra-popular Pokémon Go, Niantic, Inc., along with WB Games San Francisco say they are "excited to finally share the first look into Harry Potter: Wizards Unite".

Naturally, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has similar gameplay to Pokémon GO. Impressive stuff all round!

Assuming the game is able to avoid the serious technical issues that plagued Pokemon GO at launch, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite could very well be the next big thing in mobile gaming.

What you need to know about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. You must go into the real world around you and play with characters from the Harry Potter movies and Fantastic Beasts movies to keep the secret safe.

The storyline of the game involves The Calamity descending upon the Muggle world as magical creatures and items, or "Foundables" as they're known in the game, start appearing. Several new players have reported that it's not the first app that shows up if "Wizards Unite" is searched in the App Store, so some scrolling may be required to find the game.

Warner Brothers teamed up with Niantic Labs to develop this new game, which comes out Friday.

Wizards Unite is inspired by J.K. Rowling's series of "Potterverse" stories, however the author was not directly involved in the creation of the game.
