Marquette City-Wide Easter Egg Hunt begins

Hop on out to the Swiftel Center for the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20.

"We had good weather despite the muddy conditions", said Maplewood Director of Community Services Melissa Mancuso.

The free events may be held inside or outside, so dress appropriately.

Along with hunting Easter eggs, families could take pictures with the Easter bunny, Wiley Coyote from the National Guard, and Radar the Patrol Dog. Also check out the Victorian Egg Roll and other 1800s games and celebrations at the Landing in Shakopee (April 20), or learn how to geocache and find some Easter eggs in Clearly Lake Regional Park (April 20). "The Great Pirate Adventure" to one lucky victor as a grand prize during the Easter Egg Hunt.

In other cultures, this moon is also referred to as the "Sprouting Grass Moon", the "Egg Moon" and the "Fish Moon". For example, the names for the moons in May and June are the Flower Moon and Strawberry Moon, respectively.
