According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Divac and Joerger are scheduled to meet at some point on Thursday to discuss the team's future.

After finishing the season with a disappointing loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, Kings general manager Vlade Divac fired coach Dave Joerger on Thursday.

A separate ESPN report revealed there has been growing tension between Joerger and the front office, while The Athletic noted there has been a trust issue between Joerger and assistant general manager Brandon Williams for much of the season. "Unfortunately, we fell short".

The Sacramento Kings are ready to make another coaching change.

Madonna gets €1.3m to perform at Eurovision in Israel
Once all the songs are performed then viewers in each country gets to vote for their favourite apart from their own country. Pro-Palestinian groups and organizations called on Madonna to cancel her performance at the song contest in Israel in May.

The Kings exceeded expectations to go 39-43 this season.

Sacramento finished the regular season ninth in the Western Conference, nine games back from the eighth-ranked Clippers. Still, most around the National Basketball Association believed the team's rapid improvement under Joerger and significant overperformance based on preseason expectations would have forced the organization to consider a contract extension. Overall, Joerger compiled a 98-148 record with the Kings.

Kings owner Vivek Ranadive offered unqualified support for Divac.

Joerger was named Sacramento's head coach in May of 2016 after spending three years as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. "Throughout his entire career, Vlade is someone who has always made those around him better, both on and off the court".
