The world's largest social network, Facebook, has been dropping hints to become a source of original and well-produced videos, moving away from content produced exclusively by users.
Facebook's big video push has reached a higher plane with the launch of a dedicated video tab named "Watch".
Starting today, Watch will be available to a small number of users in the U.S., but it will spread to a wider audience "soon".
Also, users would be able to view comments and connect further with their friends for shows.
Facebook initially hoped to debut its redesigned video tab and show effort earlier this year, but the date has been moved back several times as more show partners have been brought on board. "Video has this incredible power to bring people together and build community".
It will be available on mobile, desktop and laptop and across TV apps.
There will be sections such as "Most Talked About", which highlights shows that spark conversation, and "What's Making People Laugh".
Facebook said the shows would include videos of the Women's National Basketball Association, a parenting show from Time Inc and a safari show from National Geographic.

FACEBOOK has launched a new video platform which will see Mark Zuckerberg try to wrest people's attention away from YouTube, Netflix and traditional TV networks. Watch shows will have both live streams as well as pre-recorded and scripted content. The content is largely reality shows but Facebook will show a live broadcast of an Major League Baseball game every Friday night.
Although rivals like YouTube and Snapchat have already experimented with original video content creation, Facebook's "Watch" will have an advantage because of its cross-platform nature.
The social Apps are getting much better with each passing day by inventing new useful features for its users.
At launch, Watch is available to a limited number of USA users. The latest from your favorite shows as well as saved videos can be seen in your watchlist.

Anyone who uses the social network will soon have a "Watch" tab on their feeds, where they can find a range of shows from comedy or reality to live sport.
Facebook is limiting its Watch content creators to a small set of publishers to begin with, perhaps unsurprisingly given its programming lineup, but said it plans to open it up and allow others to make shows.
