easyJet announced in a statement this morning that its total revenue per seat had increased by 2.2 percent in constant currency in the quarter ended June 30, while the number of passengers carried had surged by 10.8 percent driven by an increase in capacity of 9.5 percent.

Low-priced airline easyJet Plc (ESYJY.PK, EZJ.L) reported Thursday that its third-quarter total revenue increased 16% to 1.39 billion pounds from last year's 1.20 billion pounds.

Outgoing EasyJet chief executive Carolyn McCall says the AOC has "been awarded" and adds that the first flight by an EasyJet Europe aircraft will take place on 20 July.

Total revenue per seat increased by 5.9% on a reported basis to 57.78 pounds per seat, and increased 2.2% at constant currency, ahead of guidance. Excluding fuel, though, that figure rose 1.6 per cent, which it put down to investment.

It said profits for the full year were likely to be between £380 million and £420 million, which is more than the original £375 million forecast.
As a result, easyJet upped its headline pretax profit guidance for 2017 to a range of GBP380 million to GBP420 million.
