"A lot of players have shown it is quite easy to struggle at Chelsea, Kevin De Bruyne is one".
"Nobody thinks that the players we already have will make the next step, which is also a nice idea".
Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren believes Egypt global Mohamed Salah will be the "perfect" man to fit in the club's system. He needs more time as he's only had six days with us and everything is completely new [but] I think he will be flawless in this system.
Salah moved to Liverpool from Roma this summer for an initial £36 million, and nearly made the move to Anfield three years earlier from Basel during Brendan Rodgers' reign.
Klopp, though, is not anxious about the attacker's forgettable spell at Stamford Bridge, and he used Kevin De Bruyne as an example of why some players fail to perform at Chelsea. He went on to say that Salah's Chelsea stint was something Liverpool ignored.
Klopp also highlighted Salah's performances at worldwide level, something that often goes unnoticed by observers.
Daniel Radcliffe comes to rescue of victim of moped mugging
A former policeman tried to intervene and managed to scare off the robbers by "shunting" his auto against their moped. One of the men got off and attacked the victim, who was carrying an expensive-looking bag.
It was Salah's spell at Basel which brought him to the attention of Chelsea - and Borussia Dortmund - and klopp remembers his first thoughts when the 25-year-old came up against him. We use the transfer window, of course, because it gives us an opportunity, but the main thing I think about is how we can make the next step with the players we had last season.
"Mane had his injury and we missed him", Lovren was quoted by SkySports.
Salah moved to Serie A side Roma in August 2016 for a reported €15m (Dh63.5m) having spent the previous season on loan in the Italian capital, and the season prior to that on loan at fellow Serie A club Fiorentina. It was unbelievable! The moment I said "let's go for him" he was already at Chelsea. We played with Dortmund against him and it was, "What the f**k".
Asked what he had seen in Salah to convince him to open the cheque book, Klopp replied: "The question is, 'What did you not see in him?'". He was involved in pretty much everything for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.
"Then he struggled at Chelsea because it was too early", Klopp said.
"He was quick, he played a lot of games, he created chances and scored goals by himself".
