Manchester United are reportedly on the brink of confirming the capture of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan in a deal that is likely to be worth up to £48million.
James Ducker of The Telegraph leads the reporting about Perisic on Monday night and says the fee will be an initial £39m, rising to £44m with add-ons, which is a fee that more or less reaches Inter's valuation of £45m they were looking for.
The United boss identified the 28-year-old Croatian worldwide as a potential signing months ago, both for his defensive work and his attacking contribution, but there is one aspect of his game that helped ensure the winger became one of those signings Mourinho has been especially insistent on completing over the past few months: his crossing.
The Nerazzurri apparently want £48 million (R811 million) for the player, and have also enquired about the possibility of including Anthony Martial in the deal.
Sky Sports News understands the Croatia winger does not want to fly to China with the rest of the Inter squad on Tuesday ahead of their pre-season tour.
Ed Sheeran Makes Cameo in 'Game of Thrones' Premiere
The famous singer previously said that he wants to play in the " Game of thrones ", and he would like to play very small role. Ed commended his appearance in a progression of photographs on Instagram .
'If he comes, then the likes of Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial have to step it up'.
So far this summer Benfica defender Victor Lindelof and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku have arrived at Old Trafford.
Do you think the Croatian would be a good signing for the Red Devils?
Asked for an update on the transfer after the 2-1 friendly win at Real Salt Lake, Mourinho said as he left the press conference: "No idea". The pluses with Lukaku are obviously that he's played in the Premier League and Jose has worked with him before, and he's got friends.
