Tatum among better forwards in NBA draft

Tatum, the Duke forward projected to go in the top 6 during Thursday night's NBA Draft, said during Wednesday's media availability in NY that he held a private session for the Sixers.

The 2017 NBA Draft kicked off Thursday night at the Barclays Center in NY with the Philadelphia 76ers taking Washington point guard Markelle Fultz at No. 1.

The chatter surrounding whom the Celtics were going to select with the No. 3 pick might be over, but free-agency rumors are still ablaze in Boston.

"I love proving people wrong", Jackson said.

Tatum said he feels fortunate to be joining a contender immediately. "It can be nerve-wracking at times, but at the end of the day, I'm glad I am here".

"No. No.no. Well, there were thoughts, yeah, I was mad", Ainge said. Boston had hoped to work out Jackson on Tuesday, but the workout never happened.

Ontario Teachers Pension Plan Board reported 29,705 shares. 47,800 are held by Private Advisor Lc. (NYSE:CF) for 534,082 shares. The Florida-based Lba Wealth Management Llc has invested 0.62% in the stock. 952,746 were reported by Geode Capital Mgmt Ltd.

The 6-foot-4 Jackson, who turned 19 last month, averaged 10.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists and shot 39.5 percent on 3-pointers as a part-time starter as a freshman at Duke last season.

Now, Tatum will join a Celtics team that is already a contender, earning the top seed in the Eastern Conference this spring before falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference finals. And I think the same thing this time. I don't see him being a LeBron-type player in that way but I didn't see Steph Curry being that, either.

"They have a sense of pride and tradition, with the great franchise and all these championships and great players". Nobody in the draft fits that type better than Josh Jackson. "But then when they, you know, did the flip and went to No. 3, by then it was too late". If that Lakers pick does not land between selections two and five in next year's draft, then the Celtics will have a choice between the Sacramento Kings' or the 76ers' 2019 first round selection, which are both top-one protected.

"I talked about that with coach [Brad] Stevens and he said guys at my size and my position and are able to hit open shots and defend the one through the four, it's hard not to play those guys so that's how he looks at using me if they were to draft me", Tatum said.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens seems just as eager to deploy his new versatile weapon. Remember previous year, Kris Dunn didn't want to come here; we didn't hold it against him.
