The Chicago Bulls traded three-time All-Star Jimmy Butler and the 16th overall pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 overall draft pick, two people with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press.

The 19-year-old point guard, who played at the University of Washington last season, would become the club's fourth top overall pick and follow 2016's first overall pick by Philly, Australian forward Ben Simmons. Last night was exciting for the Los Angeles Lakers and the rest if the teams in the National Basketball Association. Things could heat up again in the coming days before free agency starts on July 1.
